Farmhouse La Foresta - S.Leonino (Castellina in Chianti - Siena)
Situated in the heart of the wine growing region, amidst olive groves with views across to Monte Maggio and the Chianti hills. Ideal for visits to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. The charming village of San Leonino has its own small Romanesque church and a good shop with telephone. Alternately, at Quercegrossa, 3 Km. from the house, there are many other shops, a bar, a chemist and the post office and also in Castellina in Chianti.

From north:
Autostrada A1. Exit at Florence Certosa and join the Florence-Siena Superstrada towards Siena. Exit at Badesse and at the end of the exit turn left towards Badesse. At the second 'stop' turn right, now following directions for Lornano. Drive through Lornano and after 5 Km. you will be in S.Leonino. Once in S.Leonino. at the little church, turn right onto a little track. Continue for about 200 mts to the 2 'country houses' (one in front of the other), then for a further 400 mts, always keeping the left. This will bring you to La Foresta, the country house on the left. The owner will wait for you there.

From south:
Join the Raccordo anulare (ring-road) following signs for the Autostrada A1 northbound towards Florence-Milan. Exit Valdichiana and follow signs to Siena. Before arriving in Siena follow direction Florence-Grosseto and then Florence. Exit Badesse. After the stop turn left for Lornano-S.Leonino. Drive through Lornano and after 5 Km. you will be in S.Leonino. Once in S.Leonino. at the little church, turn right onto a little track. There are many small old shops in the area famous for handcraft like ceramic, wood... Close to the farm there is the charming village of S. Leonino with its own romanesque church. At Quercegrossa ( 4 km) and also in Castellina in Chianti ( 10 km ) there are bars, supermarkets, chemists,a post office and many other shops. Restaurant- Pizzeria km 2
